In Chile, BNamericas reported that Brazil’s electric power watchdog (Aneel) is analyzing five proposals for research, development and innovation (R&D&I) projects focused on green hydrogen.
The proposals were submitted by companies in the energy sector under strategic call 023/2024, launched last year by the agency, for projects in the parts and components and pilot plant categories.
The projects represent total investments of $75mn, considering only funds from Aneel’s R&D&I program. Participating companies must provide a mandatory 10% financial contribution, according to the report.
