June 8, 2025 |

In the UK, Fuel Cells Works reported that Bolivia is taking decisive steps toward a sustainable energy future by prioritizing the production of green hydrogen.

The country’s Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy has launched pilot projects in the departments of Oruro, Tarija, and Santa Cruz. These initiatives are integral to the country’s strategy to diversify its energy matrix, reduce reliance on imported fuels, and foster industrial development, the report stated.

The ministry, in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), has developed a Roadmap and National Strategy for the Production and Use of Green and Low-Emission Hydrogen in Bolivia. This document outlines the goals, opportunities, and challenges for integrating green hydrogen into the national and international energy landscapes.
