In Brazil, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved financing worth R$150 million with resources from the Climate Fund for the Piracanjuba Group. The amount will be allocated to the implementation of four industrial effluent treatment plants (ETEs) with biogas production in the units of Araraquara (SP), Três Rios (RJ), Carazinho (RS) and São Jorge D’Oeste (PR). The resources will also be used to replace boilers that currently consume fossil fuel in the first two units mentioned.
