In Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports Bangchak recently signed a memorandum of understanding with New Biodiesel to buy used cooking oil collected from the southern provinces for sustainable aviation fuel feedstock. Bankchak recently purchased 45% of New Biodiesel’s parent company, Thanachok Vegetable Oil (2012). It already has agreements with 17 other companies for sourcing UCO but also wants to sign on with smaller restaurants and shops to secure their UCO to supply its 1 million liter per day SAF factory currently under development.
