In the UK, Fuell Cells Works reported that ATOME Energy, a developer of international green fertilizer projects, has announced the establishment of ATOME Power, a new renewable power generation and infrastructure division. The first project under ATOME Power is a utility-scale solar plant with up to 400MW capacity and battery storage infrastructure, located near ATOME’s green fertilizer facility in Villeta, Paraguay. The company has optioned 685 hectares of land for this project, with feasibility studies underway. ATOME Power is intended to be an 80:20 joint venture between ATOME and Fondo de Inversion en Innovacion de Paraguay S.A. (FIIP). CEO Olivier Mussat commented: “We believe ATOME Power represents an excellent potential value-added income opportunity for our shareholders. Our new power business plans to capitalize on ATOME’s established relationships to enable accelerated project deployment and unlock expansion opportunities within Paraguay and across the region.”
