In Argentina, Infobae reported that President Javier Milei signed Decree 526/2025 , which established a permanent reduction in certain grain export duties. The measure, which affects products such as soybeans, sunflowers, barley, wheat, corn, sorghum, and meat, seeks to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness, according to the report.
In the case of corn, wheat, and sorghum, export duties will drop from 12% to 9.5%; sunflower taxes will drop from 7.5% to 5.5%; and soybean export duties will drop from 33% to 26%; while soybean by-products will drop from 31% to 24.5%.
The government argued that the reduction in grain export duties was possible thanks to the economic results achieved during 2024 and the first half of 2025,
