Argentina’s 2025 biodiesel production seen falling to record low

In Argentina, Oils and Fats Magazine reports the country’s biodiesel producion is expected to hit the lowest volume on record at 1.2 billion liters as policies and market dynamics has led the industry to idle 70% of installed capacity, USDA data shows. Of that total, exports are expected to hit a 20-year low at 340 million liters, most of which goes to Europe. Although the blending mandate is at 7.7%, blending is only expected to average 6.6%.
