Argentina to raise soybean, corn export duties from July 1

June 29, 2025 |

In Argentina, Infobae reported that the national government has decided that, starting July 1, the export duties on soybeans and corn will rise again.

According to the resolution, the soybean tax rate will rise from current 26% to 33%, while that of corn and sorghum will go from 9.5% to 12%. The sunflower tax rate will also be adjusted, returning to 7% , after having paid 5.5% for the last five months. In contrast, wheat and barley will maintain the reduced rate of 9.5% until March 31, 2026.

The government explained that the extension of the reduced rates only for wheat and barley responds to the need to “ensure efficient exports,” given that the 2025/2026 campaign for both crops is currently underway.
