In Argentina, Bichos de Campo reported that the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange reduced its forecast for the 2025/26 Argentine corn harvest by one million tons, placing it now at 57 million tons
Planting of corn for commercial grain has progressed to 99% of the projected area, with only a few marginal hectares remaining to be sown in northern Argentina. Additionally, the early corn harvest has begun in Entre Ríos and northern Santa Fe, with yields around 60 and 70 quintals per hectare, respectively.
Nationally, 87% of the planted area is in normal to good condition. However, in southern Córdoba and parts of the southern Pampas region, early plantings affected by lack of moisture during the critical period are showing yield reductions and even area losses, according to the report.
