In Argentina, Reuters reports the government increased the price for biodiesel to $1,111.37 from $1,071.27 last week in addition to increases in ethanol prices for both sugarcane- and corn-based fuels to nearly 72 cents and 66 cents, respectively. The government regularly raises prices for biofuels to compensate for the high inflation the country suffers from and these prices will be in place until it decides to change them again. Argentina is a major biodiesel producer and exporter, primarily from soybean oil.
