Area under rapeseed, camelina, and carinata crops in Entre Ríos is expanding this crop cycle

In Argentina, TN reported that the area devoted to rapeseed, camelina, and carinata crops in the 2024/25 crop cycle in Entre Rios province reached 17,300 hectares, according to data from the Entre Ríos Grain Exchange Information System (SIBER), 

For the current agricultural cycle, the projection indicates that this area could expand to nearly 23,000 hectares, representing an increase of nearly 33%.

The report noted that camelina has begun to generate interest in the domestic market due to its nutritional properties and potential as a crop for biofuels and high-value industrial oils.
