ANP extends suspension of biodiesel trading between similar distributors

In Brazil, the Board of Directors of the ANP approved on Monday an 180-day extension of the temporary suspension of the marketing of biodiesel among similar distributors, previously planned for the period from May 1 to Dec. 31, 2025. The initial period of suspension was approved by the Agency’s collegiate in March 2025, given relevant indications of distortions and irregularities in the functioning of this market.

They said the extension is necessary for the ANP to deepen analyses on the effects of the seal. The decision also meets requests for extension of the suspension period sent to the Agency by economic agents of the fuel market.
