In Brazil, Investimentos e Noticias reported that estimates for Brazilian corn and soybean exports in October were reduced by the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec), but the projected volumes exceed those recorded in the same month of 2024.
In its weekly bulletin, Anec estimated corn shipments at 6.19 million tons in October, compared to 6.57 million tons forecast the previous week. In October 2024, Brazil exported 5.67 million tons of the cereal.
For soybeans, shipments are expected to total 7 million tons in October, down from the 7.34 million tons estimated last week. In the same month of the previous year, the country exported 4.43 million tons, according to the report.
