Anec raises export forecast for soybeans, corn in Brazil

In Brazil, Compre Rural reported that the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) raised its estimate for soybean exports in December to 3.57 million tons, a 7.2% increase compared to the 3.33 million tons projected last week. 

This volume also represents a 142.9% increase compared to the 1.47 million tons shipped in December 2024, according to the report. With December shipments, Brazil is expected to end 2025 with 109.28 million tons of soybeans exported, consolidating a new record and surpassing the 97.29 million tons of 2024. 

For corn, Anec raised its estimate to 6.35 million tons in December, a 0.8% increase over the previous projection of 6.30 million tons. This volume represents a 75.4% increase compared to the 3.62 million tons exported in December 2024. Up to November, Brazil exported 35.56 million tons of corn, with a projected total of 41.91 million tons by the end of December, the report added.
