Anec lowers forecast for Brazilian soybean exports in January, but still sees record highs.

February 1, 2026 |

In Brazil, Noticias Agricolas reported that Brazil’s soybean exports in January were estimated at 3.23 million tons, about 500,000 tons below the previous week’s projection, but still a record level for the first month of the year, according to the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec).

Shipments from the world’s largest producer and exporter of soybeans are set to nearly triple compared to last year amid prospects of a record harvest, according to the report.

The previous record was set in January 2024, with 2.4 million tons, according to Anec.

Brazil is in the early stages of harvesting the new crop, but ended last year with larger stocks after a record production.
