Airbus partners with Indonesian researchers to develop biomass-based bioavtur

In Indonesia, the Jakarta Post newspaper reports that Airbus in Singapore will team up with Bogor Agricultural University to study biomass availability, logistics, supply chain mapping, and optimal factory locations in Indonesia for potential future sustainable aviation fuel production. As used cooking oil, waste palm oil and low-quality vegetable oils are typical SAF feedstocks but are of limited volumes in the country, the comprehensive research seeks to find a solution for the local context that could support long-term sustainability.
