In India, BioEnergy Times reported that Air France KLM Martinair Cargo and DHL Global Forwarding have extended their strategic alliance to accelerate air freight decarbonization, signing a new three-year framework agreement covering 2025 to 2027.
The partnership aims to cut 35,000 tons of CO2-equivalent in 2025, marking the largest annual SAF collaboration Air France KLM Martinair Cargo has undertaken to date, according to the report.
Additional SAF volumes and emissions-reduction targets for 2026 and 2027 will be agreed upon as the partnership advances, the report added.
The renewed contract follows the previous three-year agreement, under which DHL achieved a reduction of 77,595 tons of CO2-equivalent between 2022 and 2024.
