In Spain, Air bp has announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Airbus covering the supply of conventional aviation fuel, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other services in Spain and Germany. With this agreement, Air bp, the bp aviation division operating in 600 locations in more than 40 countries, enables one of the largest voluntary purchases of SAF by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Air bp will supply its services to a wide range of Airbus operations, including its commercial, military and helicopter aviation divisions. The contract covers key activities such as flight testing, customer deliveries or internal transportation through the Beluga fleet, as well as the employee shuttle service operating daily between Toulouse and Hamburg.
The agreement also includes a dedicated account management team, regular technical maintenance in Germany and a new collaboration with Airbus Spain for fuel supply and storage, as well as direct track supply operations.
