Abiove projects record soybean processing in Brazil this year

In Brazil, Estadao reported that the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) has raised its projection for soybean processing in Brazil in 2026 from 60.5 million to 61 million tons, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous estimate. 

This volume would represent a new record for soybean crushing in the country and a growth of 4.3% compared to the 58.5 million tons consolidated last year, according to the report.

Soybean meal production was revised upwards from 46.6 million to 47 million tons, an increase of 0.9%, while soybean oil production rose from 12.15 million to 12.25 million tons, an increase of 0.8%. Grain exports were adjusted from 111 million to 111.5 million tons, a growth of 0.5%
