In Argentina, Reuters reported that sowing of the 2025/26 wheat crop has started well in Argentina, thanks to dry conditions in the west and north of the country, according to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BdeC).
Argentina is a major global wheat exporter, and in recent weeks its farmers have begun planting the grain, with the market expecting a total of 6.7 million hectares, according to the report.
The Stock Exchange also explained that wheat planting is delayed in the country’s core agricultural zone due to the abundant rainfall recorded there in recent weeks.
According to the entity’s weekly crop report, soybean and corn harvesting in this important agricultural region of Argentina is also delayed, with harvesting being 80.7% and 40.5% complete, respectively.
