Well-suited for water-stressed economies

Some regions are replete in available water and good soil, but those don’t always go together. Excessive rainfall can leach nutrients and result in fairly poor soils — the Amazon comes to mind. Finding good land and not stressing the water table is not something for the faint of heart when we’re looking for a strong uptick in farm productivity.

Algae is now growing in the outdoor open pond system. In 7 days, it will be fully harvested and removed for dewatering and processing. Meanwhile, the pond will be refilled with algae from the closed photobioreactor — and the 7 day farming season begins again.
