TerraVia Taps Univar to Distribute Algae-Based Food Ingredients in Europe


In Europe, food ingredients distributor Univar has agreed to distribute TerraVia’s AlgaVia brand of Whole Algae Ingredients.

TerraVia’s product lines include Lipid-Rich Whole Algae, which can replace eggs and dairy fats in a wide range of applications including bakery, beverages and desserts; and Protein-Rich Whole Algae, which contains 63% protein and is suitable for applications in beverages, bakery, and snacks.
