In Canada, “Hotline Bling” rapper Drake has been seen sporting pink biobased slip-on shoes designed by Kane.
Founded in 2020 by former Maverik Lacrosse CEO John Gagliardi and podiatrist Dr. Daniel Geller, Kane looks to design, manufacture and sell “well-designed, biobased EVA [ethylene vinyl acetate]” shoes that support and stimulate recovery. The design sported by Drake, dubbed Revive, is specifically designed for active recovery.
The biobased EVA is called RestoreFoam and is produced using Brazilian sugarcane as feedstock—so the environment benefits along with the wearer’s ankle and foot health. Kane Revives are available for $80 and in a wide range of vibrant and subdued colors and college themes.
