In Indonesia, a 70th anniversary celebration of Indonesia-Italy relations began with a science exhibition featuring a vegan leather dress made from Italy’s wine industry byproducts.
The Ecologicdress, produced by VegeaTextiles, is currently on display at the Glass Lobby of the National Museum in Central Jakarta as part of an exhibition entitled Italy: The Beauty of Knowledge. It will be on display through March 31. Italian ambassador to Indonesia Vittoria Sandalli said the exhibition is meant to “introduce a different side of Italy to Indonesians.”
“Here, at the National Museum of Indonesia, we are proud to present the contributions of Italian research and innovation to the creation of new possibilities [to] enhance social well-being and awareness, both locally and globally,” Sandalli said.
