In South Korea, Beesen Bio has signed a contract to supply anti-aging face masks based on bee venom. The two-year deal calls for 400,000 BEE M4A masks—worth $270 million—to be shipped to DIA Group for sale in the Chinese market.
The venom is extracted from natural honey bees in South Korea and has been shown to activate collagen metabolism. The masks are free from allergens or toxic compounds. BEE M4A was developed by Beesen Bio, CHA Medical Center, and the University of Strathclyde.
