In Iowa, Chamness Biodegradables has introduced separate, compostable serve-ware product lines based on recycled coffee grinds and recycled hops.

The Coffee House Compostables and Brew House Compostables product lines are being produced at a new facility in Camarillo, California. The serve-ware can withstand temperatures ranging from -30–420 degrees Farenheit, but can be composted at home in 40 days or in a commercial composting facility in 10 days.

“We replaced new ingredients with the coffee grounds and the hops and got super strong plates, bowls and more that are great for story-telling and the environment too,” says Renee Fry, CEO of Chamness Biodegradables.
