In Brazil, the trade ministry has extended duty-free imports on anhydrous ethanol through the end of 2015. The water limit on the ethanol is 1%, which is pretty tight considering the effects of sea transport on anhydrous ethanol, but the limit is more lax than in Europe that only allows 0.3%.

In Washington, the EPA has released its final 2012 renewable fuel requirements. The program being implemented requires blending of over 1.25 billion gallons of renewable fuels over the amount mandated for 2011.
