Ethanol production holds mostly steady on the week

In Washington, the Energy Information Administration reports ethanol production held mostly steady last week at 1.043 million barrels a day, falling only 14,000 barrels compared to the week prior and 9,000 compared to the year prior. With summer driving season in full swing, stocks fell 194,000 barrels last week to 23.423 million barrels but remained 440,000 barrels higher than the same period last year. Ethanol experts were also mostly steady at 72,000 barrels per day.
