TAM successfully trials jatropha-based aviation biofuel

In Brazil, TAM Airlines has held a successful 45-minute test flight running on 50% bio-SPK produced from local jatropha. The CFM56 engined A320 took off from Galeão Antonio Carlos Jobim International airport in Rio de Janeiro. The trial was held in conjunction with Airbus. More on the story.
