Digest Bioeconomy Index drops 1.08 percent to 51.15 as ethanol tanks

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, dropped 1.08 percent to 51.15 as ethanol tanked. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) shed 8.86 percent to $4.01, while Amyris (AMRS) dumped 8.26 percent to $1.00. Among other equities, Cosan (CZZ) was trimmed 5.49 percebt to $4.65. Overall, declines led advances by a 8 to 5 ratio for the day.
