Biofuels Digest Index gains to 59.87 as ethanol shares rally

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 1.41 percent to 59.87 as ethanol shares rallied. For the day, Ceres (CERE) jumped 11.43 percent to $0.23, while Pacific Ethanol rebounded 9.20 percent to $8.90. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) bounced up 9.36 percent to $1.87. Overall, advances led declines 11 to 4 for the day.
