University of Illinois says D4 RIN prices indicators of tax credit renewal

In Illinois, the University of Illinois says that RIN prices for D4 from biodiesel on average track whether or not the market expects the $1 per gallon tax credit will be renewed retroactively for the current year. Tracking that political process allows RIN traders to estimate and correctly predict RIN prices.
