Biofuels Digest Index drops to 67.15 as advanced biofuels slip

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dropped 0.36 percent to 67.15 as advanced biofuels slipped. For the day, Verenium soared 58.17 percent to $3.97 after a tender offer from BASF, while Algae Tec fell 10.53 percent to $0.17. Among other equities, Ceres fell 2.44 percent to $1.20. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
