Iowa ethanol lobbyist pays attendees to participate in Vance rally in Des Moines
In Iowa, Iowa Starting Line reports that a lobbyist linked to the state’s governor who also represents an ethanol company has been caught offering $100 in cash per person to attend last week’s rally held in Des Moines by Vice President JD Vance. The offer, shared by SMS, also offered a referal fee of $25 for each person who attended the rally. In Response to the article, Raw Story reports the lobbyist told Iowa Starting Line that he did it in his own spare time to give “kids” the opportunity to participate.
