Renewable diesel and biodiesel production high multi-month highs in October
In New York, Hydrocarbon Processing reports that AEGIS Hedging data shows October saw renewable diesel and biodiesel production ramp up to multi-month highs, thanks to improved margins. Renewable diesel producers ran at 77% of installed capacity in October while biodiesel producers ran at 89%. But that good news was weighed by Energy Information Administration data showing that biodiesel production capacity fell more than 4% that month to around 2 billion gallons, yet renewable diesel rose 19% to 4.58 billion gallons.
