Japan’s Ozu Biomass Power Plant kicks off commercial operations
The power plant is a biomass-only thermal power plant using wood pellets as fuel. With a power output of 50,000 kW and an annual power generation of approximately 350 million kWh, the power plant will be a facility that supports sustainable power supply as a renewable energy source that is not affected by the weather. All of them will be sold to Shikoku Electric Power Transmission & Distribution Company,
Incorporated (YONDEN T&D) for the next 20 years based on the Feed-in tariffs scheme (FIT) for renewable energy.
