Universiti Teknologi Petronas and Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment launch project to develop hybrid heavy-duty plantation model
In Malaysia, the Malay Mail newspaper reports Universiti Teknologi Petronas and Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment have teamed up for the ‘Optimisation of Biomass Waste-to-Wealth’ project at Balung Palm Oil Mill Sdn Bhd in Tawau in an effort to create value-added energy and other products from palm waste. The two-year project will have biodiesel and electricity production as their central aims, with the hope of creating IP that could later be commercialized as well through the hybrid heavy-duty plantation vehicle.
