Polish duo planning food-based biomethane projects
In Poland, the Enea and KGS Groups are planning joint development of biomethane projects. The combination of the raw material facilities of the National Food Group with energy competences of Enea is to create the basis for the production of biomethane at Polish sugar mills. The framework cooperation plan, opening the way to joint activities, was signed at the headquarters of the Ministry of State Assets.
The project of cooperation assumes the preparation and evaluation of the development model of the biomethane plant portfolio with a total installed capacity of approx. 60 MW. It provides for the development of feasibility studies for six locations at seven KGS-owned sugar mills. The signed framework cooperation plan – the so-called term-sheet – sets the directions for actions aimed at combining the potential of the agri-food sector with the energy and infrastructure competences of national entities.
