French partnership to create biomethane platform
In France, Epopée Gestion, Urbeez, and EnerVivo announce a strategic partnership dedicated to methanization and biomethane in France. The three partners are combining their expertise to accelerate the conversion of existing cogeneration units to biomethane injection and to develop new units. An initial investment already has been made in the Dessous Machecot methanization unit, located in the Charente region.
This cooperation combines three complementary areas of expertise: Epic Management , a territorial investor specialist in low-carbon infrastructure; Urbeez , a developer and operator of methanization projects; and EnerVivo , which provided its technical expertise and its design specialized office in methanization.
The partners will deploy two complementary strategies:
The acquisition, modernization, and development of existing methanization units, Special cogeneration units that can be upgraded to inject biomethane. Injected biomethane avoids about 80% of greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil natural gas.
