Soybean planting in Brazil reaches 1.2% of the area, says AgRural.
In Brazil, CompreRural reported that Brazilian farmers had sown 1.2% of the area planned for the 2026/27 soybean crop by September 17, compared to 0.4% a week earlier and 0.9% a year ago, according to data from agribusiness consultancy AgRural.
The state of Paraná is leading the efforts , but there have also been reports of planting in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Rondônia , according to AgRural.
Planting of Brazil’s first 2026/27 corn crop has reached 27% of the estimated area in the central-south region, compared to 22% the previous week and 25% a year ago.
Despite the accelerated pace, low temperatures limited progress in some areas , with isolated corn plots being hit by frost in the last two weeks, AgRural reported.
