Foshan green methanol and LNG project completes registration
In China, Seetao reports a 2.42 billion yuan green fuels project in Foshan has completed government registration for planned annual production of 235,500 tons of green methanol and 64,400 tons of green LNG from agricultural and forestry waste. Guangdong Zhenwei Green Energy Technology plans to build the facility in Sanshui District between December 2026 and December 2028.
The project expands an earlier plan centered on green methanol into combined methanol and LNG production. Feedstocks will include sugarcane bagasse and wood processing waste.
The plant is planned for the Foshan Sanshui New Materials Industrial Park, with access to Pearl River Delta storage and port resources serving the Greater Bay Area and overseas markets.
