The area sown with corn in Argentina in 2026/27 would be 8.4 million hectares, exchange says
In Argentina, Reuters reported that the area sown with corn for the 2026/27 cycle in Argentina would be 8.4 million hectares, unchanged from the previous season, the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BdeC) said in its first estimate for the season that begins in September.
Argentina is the world’s third largest exporter of corn and its producers are currently finishing the 2025/26 season harvest of the cereal.
