Azane and Equinor sign ammonia bunkering framework
In Norway, Azane Fuel Solutions and energy company Equinor signed a framework agreement covering ammonia fuel supply and truck to ship bunkering, with first deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2026.
The agreement establishes terms for supplying ammonia directly to ships by truck as demand for the fuel develops. Azane is developing ammonia bunkering infrastructure in Norway and fuel handling systems for maritime use.
Azane’s infrastructure subsidiary received a NOK 442 million Enova grant in December to help build ammonia bunkering terminals at Florø, Stavanger and Mongstad. All three are targeted to be operating by 2029.
