DS Dansuk launches new company to speed up SAF facility

In South Korea, DS Dansuk will establish a new corporation, DS Orbion, and speed up the construction of the SAF plant, which is a key task in the 2030 vision. 2020 days said. DSOrbion is a subsidiary of DS Dansuk and, is dedicated to the “Net-Zero Complex Project”, which is being promoted by Gunsan National Industrial Park in Jeonbuk. 

The Korean government designated SAF production technology as a national strategic technology and fostered it. In the midst of 2027, 1% SAF blending on international flights departing from Korea will be mandatory. In November 2024, the company completed the SAF pre-treatment raw material production facility at Pyeongtaek 1 factory, and entered the SAF market. It will continue to diversify its raw material supply chain by 2030. Aiming to produce SAF with an annual scale of 30 million tons, they aim to make raw materials competitive.
