Conab estimates grain harvest of 360.8 million tons in Brazil
In Brazil, GloboRural reported that Brazil’s National Supply Company (Conab) has revised its projection for the 2025/26 grain harvest upwards, confirming expectations of a record harvest.
The survey indicates that the harvested volume will be 360.8 million tons, approximately 700,000 tons more than the report released in July. Compared to the 2024/25 cycle, the increase is 2.4%, representing 8.5 million tons more.
The numbers point to record production in four crops: soybeans, corn, cotton and sorghum. According to Conab, the result is influenced by a 2.1% growth in cultivated area, estimated at 83.5 million hectares. The national average productivity of these crops is expected to be 4,300 kilograms per hectare, the report added.
