Soybean planting for 2026/27 in Argentina to reach 18.30 million hectares
In Brazil, Safras & Mercado reported that the intended soybean planting area in Argentina for the 2026/27 season would total 18.30 million hectares, an increase of 11% compared to the area planted in the 2025/26 season of 16.5 million hectares.
Safras & Mercados analyst Agustín Geier explained that the growth in area at the national level does not depend on a single region, but rather the main provinces show increases in surface area of between 8% and 16%.
In detail, the province of Chaco would register a 16% increase in the soybean area, followed by Santiago del Estero which would grow 14%, La Pampa would have 13% more area, while Buenos Aires and Córdoba would register an increase of 11%, Santa Fe a rise of 10% and Entre Ríos would increase its area by 8%.
