GranBio joins BDO Zone Strategic Partners Network

In Canada, GranBio has joined the BDO Zone Strategic Partners Network. BDO Zone Strategic Partners are leading biobased companies that help de-risk and accelerate biobased project development within BDO Zones.

GranBio specializes in converting agricultural and forestry residues into low-carbon fuels and renewable bioproducts. Its expertise in advanced biofuel production, biomass conversion, and biorefinery development will help strengthen bioeconomy infrastructure across BDO Zones. By supporting the efficient use of local biomass resources, GranBio will help communities attract investment in biofuel, renewable energy, and sustainable biomanufacturing projects.

GranBio’s innovative work has recently drawn backing from a major industry player. In June 2026, Amazon announced an investment in GranBio to help scale production of sustainable aviation fuel made from forest and construction waste—part of Amazon’s broader effort to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. GranBio’s participation in the BDO Zone Strategic Partners Network builds on that momentum.
