In Spain, Greenalia Biomass Power Curtis-Teixeiro secured financing with Natixis of 160 million euros aimed at refinancing the indebtedness of its biomass plant of 150 MW, located in the town of Curtis Teixeiro (A Coruña). The plant, operational since 2021, is the largest in Galicia and one of the largest in Spain. Its operation provides employment to more than 135 people. The plant has a capacity to treat more than 500,000 tons of short-lived remains from sustainably managed forest plantations, making a decisive contribution to forest maintenance and fire prevention.

With the formalization of this financing, the Greenalia group reinforces its commitment to this technology and improves the conditions of its financial indebtedness in the long term.
