MOL Group marks major progress in SAF production

In India ChemAnalyst News reported that MOL Group has announced a significant advance in its transition towards lowcarbon fuels, completing a new round of sustainable aviation fuel and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) production tests at INA’s Rijeka Refinery.

The pilot project successfully processed 5% palm oil mill effluent (POME) alongside fossil feedstocks, yielding both SAF and renewable diesel, according to the report.

The trial involved 1,000 tons of biogenic material and was independently certified under the ISCC sustainability standard, underscoring the company’s commitment to verified renewable fuel production.
