The ships will be constructed at HD Hyundai Samho and HD Hyundai Heavy, with six vessels at each yard. These vessels are set for delivery by June 2028.<\/p>\n<p>The ships will be equipped with GTT\u2019s Mark III Flex containment technology and MAN ME-GI propulsion systems, enhancing their LNG capabilities, as reported by LNG Prime.<\/p>\n<p>CMA CGM, a major proponent of LNG as fuel, continues to expand its LNG-powered fleet. The company has already invested over $17 billion in a fleet of nearly 120 LNG- and methanol-powered ships, scheduled for delivery by 2027. This new order will join CMA CGM&#8217;s current fleet of around 620 vessels, which includes more than 30 LNG-powered ships.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by LNG Prime, CMA CGM in 2023 shifted an order for eight methanol-powered containerships from China\u2019s SWS to LNG fuel, further underscoring its commitment to LNG technology.
